A Little Morning Jabber

For those of you who aren't nearby and don't get to see Abby on a regular basis, here's a little video of her talking. She's in the best mood in the morning when she first wakes up....until she decides she needs breakfast NOW!

And, in breaking news, we had oatmeal cereal for the first time tonight. Continues to be fabulously messy, but this may be more because Abby is starting to want to feed herself.

My next goal is to catch her rolling over on video. Stay tuned!

Beijing Baby!

The Olympics are over, and Abbby's pretty sad about the whole deal. She watched the Olympics with Dave and I. I noticed things with color and lots of movement kept her attention the most. She really enjoyed swimming and diving....maybe it's the blue of the water that kept her attention?? She would sit like a big girl in her bumbo and and watch so attentively, and she got to where she'd talk when everyone was yelling and cheering for Phelps!

A Face Anyone Could Love...

I was on call Friday night, and after a LONG night without sleep I was definitely ready to come home and take a nap. Unfortunately my sweet baby girl had other ideas and wanted to spend some quality time with her mommy. But who can resist this face??

The Cereal Monster!

Now Abby's really gotten the hang of the whole spoon and open mouth cereal thing. But she also loves to wipe her bib on her face. So while she in theory could be a "clean" eater, this is what we get instead......

The First Post

So welcome to our blog! Here are where things stand now...Dave and I are working like crazy, and Abby's a happy and healthy 4 months old. She just had her 4 month check up, weighs 16 pounds and is 25 inches tall. She started eating cereal a couple of weeks ago, and she's really getting the hang of it now. And our biggest, newest achievement is rolling over! She rolled from her back to her tummy on August 18th, and her mommy got to see it! She's done it a couple of time since then, but she hasn't shown it off for her daddy just yet. She's smiling, laughing, cooing, all of those fabulous 4 month old things. We're enjoying her so much right now. We'll be sure to keep everyone updated as things change!
